No, it's not normal and the pitting shouldn't exist. However, it may have no affect on accuracy. So you have some choices; get a new barrel, take this one to a gunsmith and have him clean/lap it out (but this may have more negative impact on accuracy than just ignoring it. Scrub it with a good solvent and clean the barrel after each practice session. But I'd check the accuracy and you may find it has no affect and the cheapest thing to do is nothing but keep it clean.
