Can a doctor in Georgia take a person off a breathing machine without permission off immediate family.?

my cousin had a massive brain hemorrhage and she is unresponsive and on a breathing machine. the doc said hes going to take her off to see if she can breath on her own. If she cannot he will not restart the machine again.
