I think he will go to Washington. There are two reasons for this that apply to both Pittsburgh and Detroit. The first is that their rosters are already full with young and talented centres. With the Penguins you have Crosby and Malkin manning the middle, and you still have Jordan Staal who proved himself with both men out for the season, carrying the team into the playoffs. With Detroit you have Zett and Datz, plus other guys waiting in the wings. The Second problem is the price. Pittsburgh only has 3 million in cap space and Detriot has 11 million. While Detroit may have enough money, they have pending free agents in Draper, Modano, and Ruslan Salei to consider. Not to metion the new contracts that Zett and Jimmy Howard received. Washington has 8 million in cap space and after yet another bad playoff year they may be looking to off load some talent, especially someone like Backstrom. Washing could use a great second centre behind Ovie. I think he goes to Washington, and possibly gets around 70 points.
