Is this okay to wear to his funeral?

My godfather/uncle passed away unexpectedly a few days ago of a brain hemorrhage, I'm going to his funeral in a day, I'm thinking of wearing my dark jeans, a black and white striped top underneath a dark brown woollen coat with navy blue flats and bag. is this okay? I've only been to one funeral before this one, but I was a little kid and decked myself out in pure black and looked a bit weird, and then this other guest wore a bright fluro pink dress with matching hat shoes and bag, so I want to make sure I get the right balance this time of conservativity. Not that what I wear really matters that much, seeing as it isnt my day, but I want to look respectful on my godfathers day.
