Liver tumor and birth control lawsuit?

i took the BC pill Ocella for 4 years. stopped Feb 2010 to concieve. i got pregnanct in Nov 2010 and i am due Aug 2011. i went to the emergancy room a couple weeks back for severe upper abdominal pain, and found out i have a tumor in my liver that is most likely caused by taking birth control(can find out for sure til after pregnancy is over and its been removed) if this is caused my BC, would i have a case to sue the ocella company? this tumor has caused me alot of pain and there is a high chance of it rupturing and hemorrhaging, and could potentially cause death to my unborn child and i.

18 not pregnant 3 missed periods?? please help me?

On February 6/2011 I randomly did a pregnancy test it came up very lightly as positive.February 7/2011 I went to the doctors because I was bleeding and they said I miscarried and my HCG level was 4. Today I saw a really nice and smart doctor in emerge and he advised me it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to have been pregnant and with in hours miscarried adn my hcg level dropped to 4. He said there is no way my hormone level could have dropped that QUICK. He is now telling me he can't help me in emergency I need constant guidance from my family doctor to figure this out. He said it could be so many different things and he will only mention the positive. He said mother nature may fix this on her own but he can't diagnose. I have 2 children ages 2 and 4. Im 5'5 and 155 lbs and ive been like that for 2 years now. NEVER have I missed a period when not pregnant. Had a blood test today and again negative my urine is also completely normal. I had an IUD until last July It was removed because it caused me to bleed alot randomly. I never got an answer to why I was bleeding on it. February8/2011 I had an ultrasound everything looked good. My activity level has not changed and I have been far from stressed. I eat like I have always eaten which is pretty healthy. I have a lil pain during intercourse but only when it goes up to far. I am really stumped as to what this can be. I have not had a period since feb 7/2011 and now its been over 13 weeks i think it might even be 14 now. My mom and grandma keep telling me cancer. My mom stopped getting her period and next thing she knew she had cervical cancer or something like that. They keep saying cancer or hemorrhaging. I have avoided going to a dr about this until today when they mentioned that. My nana lives way across the country and is praying for me tomorrow but I just want to know if this CAN be a serious issue and what kind of things can it be. I haven't really had any other symptoms odd time a lil cramp here and there and that's about it. Please help me? All ideas please. Anyone with similar experiences?

I have 3 tiny, but VERY noticeable scars from pimples...?

I have three noticeable scars each above each other, under my lip, on my chin, leftover from the serious pimple I had. So when I began middle school there was a cute boy named Noah that rode my bus every day. He was in a grade above me and over time we became great friends. When I hit 7th grade (he was in 8th) and we really liked each other. Noah's wierd actions cause me to spiral deeper into depression, until finally, after trying to form some sort of conversation and failing, I agreed to silence. After a few months, my mom and I were reunited and everything was okay. Except for 'him'. To clean up some unwanted dust, I attended his graduation from the middle school and congragulated him. As soon as he saw me he frowned, though he just responded "Hm, thanks." in a dull, uncaring voice. WTF HAPPENED? After two years of being best friends, Noah left me in the dust at the hardest time in my life.

heres the deal. I am a straight A student in a public school in new york and is one of the top schools on in the state. In this school a regular class is an honors class in another school lets say anywhere. I plan to take a biology class in two months over the summer to get ahead to chem in 10th grade. CHem is a hard subject and im already ahead so that will count as an honors class for me i dont care. however, i plan to take honors geometry which is very hard and honors spanish. .Like i said before colleges reealize the difficulty of my schools curriculum. So i have a 14 hour flight to out of the country, and I have to dress up because we're flying stand by. Which means my uncle wants me to dress up to represent the airline I guess. Hemorrhage and second pregnancy?

this question is to anyone who has hemorrhaged in delivery (or hours after). I did with my first pregnancy and I don't wish it on anyone. It was terrifying and the attempt to fix it was beyond painful (worse than actually delivery the baby by far). it messed me up a lot and gave me PTSS. I vowed I didn't ever want to risk it again but low and behold I'm preggers again and due soon. I'm terrified I'm going to die (1 in 400 000 in Canada do) and though I know the odds aren't particularly high I know the fear that will overcome me if I start to hemorrhage, and I don't wan to *think* I'm going to die either. I'm looking for people who did hemorrhage the first time and if they went on to have more pregnancies if they hemorrhaged the second time and if it was worse. I also want to know if they were worried too, going into the second delivery.

Dermatology - Disappearing/Reappering Scars?

About 13 years ago (in high school), I was in the gym goofing around on a carpet covered platform and fell in a way the caused my face to scrape the carpet. This left me with a "rug burn" on the portion of my skin just above the bridge of my nose, between my eyes and below my brow line. Anyway, it left a small red patch of skin that I assumed was a kind of scar (because of course I picked at it while it healed) that eventually went away. Every once in awhile, however, that small red patch will reappear over the course of a few days, but just as suddenly, disappear again a few days later. Is this a true scar or something else?

Popped blood vessel in my eye?

This weekend I got very sick and violently vomited multiple times, I popped a blood vessel in my eye (Subconjunctival Hemorrhage). At first, it was only at the bottom of my eye, under the lower lid, barely peaking out the bottom. However, it has spread a significant amount to where it is very visibly on the right side of my eye and nearing my iris. Is this natural? Or should I get it checked out? I went to the ER a couple of weeks ago. They said I have 1 ruptured ovarian cyst on my right ovary. Along with 2 large cysts and several smaller ones (all on the right ovary). The pain has been killing me. It's nauseating, makes me weak, tired, I have had a period for a month, etc... Am I being paranoid or are my worries justified?

I live alone in an appartment that's in a bad neighborhood (strip club and crackhead motel beside it yards away) and about three weeks ago someone tried to break in through the window. My upstairs neighbors scarred him off but ever since then I have been extremly paranoid at night. By paranoid I mean I usually don't get to sleep before 3:00 in the morning and when I do try to sleep I sleep for a few minutes at a time and then im up at every slight noise. To tell a little about my past mental state, earlier this year when I was not on meds I was convinced that members of my family where trying to murder me. Then I would have psycotic episodes involving me thinking a monster was entering my dreams and controling my actions. I honestly don't know if this paranoia I am experiencing is reasonable. I am on heavy psych meds right now and night is the only time it happens. I have resorted to desperate mesures to get to sleep and all any of it does is sidate me. That includes pot which does not make me paranoid but lazy and xanax that is not mine. The only thing that can make me sleep is if I take 2 or 3 mg of xanax with my five psych meds. Is this something my doctor needs to know about or is a moove needed. Also other than this I am doing very well with my mental state so that is why I am hesitant about telling him.

I am A little confused?

I have been reading a lot of books and websites, and I know it is not fair to compare pregnancies with a stranger because every woman is different. I went into the ER on monday for some lower abdominal pain and I had a u/s and levels checked. According to my Lmp I should be 7 weeks, according to u/s I was 5 weeks and 2 days. I had no bleeding or spotting, but I had a subchorionic hemorrhage with my last pregnancy that caused a lot of cramping so I just wanted to make sure it was not the same deal this time. My blood was drawn and my levels were checked, ultrasound showed a gest. sac with yolk sack (too early to see I know) that measured 5 weeks and 2 days but no fetal pole. I don't know exactly how common they are but from what I've read previously, they occur in roughly 40% of pregnancies. It's not something that will necessarily occur in a subsequent pregnancy if a woman had one previously but it's best to mention to your doctor that you've been diagnosed with one in the past (if it's not the same doctor). I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage at 7w3d after having some bleeding at 5 weeks. It's since resolved itself and I had no further bleeding and the doctor said it shouldn't put any risk on future pregnancies. Good luck and congrats on your newest addition!!

I'm sure you're not the only one out there, but it's weird that you can't tell if a male is attractive or not. Usually, the way someone tells if another is attractive or not is to take your dream self (dream hair, dream body, etc) and compare it to the other person... at least, thats how I do it. Older people (40s and up) tend to not be attractive to younger people (teens and early 20s). Just don't think about it too much,because it's not that big of a deal.

Something is sticking out of my suture area.?

Hip surgery. I have a 2 inch scar that's finally mostly healed. Except something is sticking out at one end. It looks like string. Lots of fibers making it up. I attempted to pull it out but it's really stuck. The suture area is hard and raised. Operation was over 5 weeks ago. I'm guessing that is something that isn't going to dissolve on its own. And when you forget what they taught you about yourself and when you learn to see you in perspective.. You'll see your a strong amazing person that endured through so much. last year i hit my head and it caused a brain hemorrhage which almost cost me my life. In the hospital i had two seizures. It has been a year and no seizure, but I had a bad seizure just the other day while washing vegetables. So today I was hanging out with my friend, and we were sitting on a couch. I looked at her leg briefly, and noticed a spot where there were a few scars. Proactive stopped working, what should I do now?

I'm 23 years old, have been using Proactive for about 4.5 years now. I've tried differen, clearasil, neutrogena and some other products recommended to me by dermatologists but Proactive at least controlled acne the best compared to the others when I first started using it. This past year, however, my acne has become severe and breakouts and scarring have been often. I've also tried the new proactive now but it isn't working. Help me get motivated to loose the pounds?

A year ago I was hospitalized from loosing half my blood and had to get 3 red blood cell transfusions. I lost this much blood from lady problems from hemorrhaging. To stop the bleeding my parents had no choice but to put me on depo so I wouldn't bleed to death. This medication causes some people to gain up to 100 pounds.. After I got out of the hospital, I had to get surgery. This was April of last year and I've gained 15 pounds of which I wasn't comfortable with my body in the first place before I gained it. My mom told me that I'd be able to loose it after I had my strength back of which I got back but then found out that I had endometriosis and now my doctors think I have IBS or something to do with my intestines but they are both very painful. So you have some choices; get a new barrel, take this one to a gunsmith and have him clean/lap it out (but this may have more negative impact on accuracy than just ignoring it. Why am I struggling to breathe all of a sudden?

About four weeks ago now I started struggling to breathe. My uncle died unexpectedly a week ago of a brain hemorrhage but I don't think its because of that because I had trouble breathing long before that happened. Four months ago I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism (one part Graves Disease). I'm on medication for it, do you think it might be that? I dont think so because I've only recently had trouble breathing, if it was because of my thyroid condition I would have had a breathing issue back then, not now all of a sudden. I keep telling my mum about it, and lately it's gotten harder to breathe. I dont think she even believes me, she sometimes even ignores me when I'm clearly struggling for breath. What is wrong?? A question for both males and females?

I'm sure you're not the only one out there, but it's weird that you can't tell if a male is attractive or not. Usually, the way someone tells if another is attractive or not is to take your dream self (dream hair, dream body, etc) and compare it to the other person... at least, thats how I do it. Older people (40s and up) tend to not be attractive to younger people (teens and early 20s). Just don't think about it too much,because it's not that big of a deal.

Are miscarriage contractions the same as labour contractions?

When i was 15 i had a miscarriage at 16 weeks. The pain lasted for 6 hours before i went to hospital, then bled for a further 6 hours before being rushed in for a D&C due to a blood hemorrhage. I just wondered whether this is similar pain to full term labour, can i use this as a guideline to the pain? I think it was quite bearable but didn't really have the attachment to the baby in which many mums say they do during a MC so maybe this made it easier??

Pulmonary Embolism question?

I had bi-lateral pulmonary embolisms 5 months ago post-op and was hospitalized for a few days. My symptoms were 9/10 pain, could not move due to pain, shortness of breath, low sats, tachycardia, etc... The Doc said the pain should go away within 4-6 weeks. Since then, I have had the usual "zingers" of extreme pain which only last for a few seconds, and an ache of about 2-3/10 pain which comes and goes almost on a daily basis. But I have also occasionally been having signs of new PE's as well. This has happened about 3-4 times over the last 5 months, each time getting worse. Yesterday I had the *exact* same symptoms as my original PE with 9/10 pain, dyspnea, shortness of breath, etc... and But here is the kicker. These "attacks" are temporary and yesterdays episode only lasted about 10 minutes or so and left as quickly as it came. These are debilitating and cannot move or breath while I have them. I have to sit in a semi-tripod position and take very short, shallow breaths to keep the pain down. I have been treated for pleurisy (which I don't meet the criteria for but willing to try anything) and cannot distinguish the symptoms between my original PE and these episodes. However, I know that symptoms of a PE don't just "go away" like mine have been. I really feels like I have a sudden blockage of my vessel which breaks loose and allows blood flow again. Perhaps scar tissue or left over PE, I have no idea but am a Paramedic/Firefighter and return to work this week and CANNOT have this problem while on duty. My Doc doesn't know what is going on (she has referred me to yoga and acupuncture. I am looking for a new Doc right now) and need to get this problem fixed. I have searched the internet tirelessly and haven't found anything remotely comparable to my symptoms. Any thoughts?

I would stop washing your face for a little bit. That's what i've been doing and my skin has improved. Before I use to have one blemish and I started using every cleanser known to man to try and get the 'perfect skin'. All that did was dry my skin out and make it 10x worse! Complaint of negligence? NHS, Midwife , GP?

Hiya, I recently gave birth to my son 6 weeks ago, It was a planned homebirth and two midwifes & one student midwife attended. Before delivery I was slightly anemic and did not recieve medication for it. Once I delivered my son I suffered postpartum hemorrhage a blood loss of 500mls and recieve a shot of ergometrine to stem the bleeding.After the ergometrine I was still trickling blood for some time. I was extremely unwell after the birth of my son but was not admitted into hospital. All midwifes left within 30 minutes after the birth of my son and I was told to stay in bed for the rest of the day.Placenta was checked and believed to be complete. A few hours after I gave birth I phoned the midwife as I had gotten up to use the bathroom and blood was trickling again from me. She was not concerned and just told me to rest. The midwife visited often the following days after and I mentioned I was losing large clots (size of oranges), suffering headaches,dizziness, extreme tiredness & that my abdomen was tender. There was no concern to her and she stated my uterus had fully contracted back. Each time she visited I mentioned I was experiencing all these symptoms and that my bleeding was still extremely heavy and bright red. She was not concerned. A week after delivery I visited my GP whilst still experiecing these symptoms & my loss had a very offensive odour. He believed I had an infection and told me my womb was measuring 16 weeks pregnant.He could imediattely identify I was anemic and that my blood pressure was low. He prescribed me anti biotics and iron tablets and left it at that. For the next week I was taking the antibiotics and still complaining of my symptoms to the midwife who still didn't seem concerned. Then 3 weeks post partum I had a large gush of blood whilst using the bathroom I phoned healthcall and explained to them what had happened but because I wasn't experiencing any pain of fever they believed I had started my period and therefore didn't think I should be admitted. The following sunday I woke up at 6.30am with agonizing stomach pains I believed to be from my Irritable bowel syndrome. At 7.00 I began bleeding very heavily and phoned and ambulance. Whilst waiting for ambulance I lost two large clots (size of oranges) and still continued to bleed. Ambulance arrived and bleeding had slowed but they took me into hospital because of the clots I had passed. Upon arrival I was admitted into gynaecology and given an ultrasound which showed nothing. They assumed I had an infection and went to give me swabs. That's when they noticed a huge mass of retained placenta lodged inside my (still dilated) cervix! The consultant then began to manually remove the peices of retained placenta from my cervix and I suffered massive Secondary Post partum Hemorrhage (roughly 6 pints!). They decided to give another shot of ergometrine and explained that if my bleeding didn't stem I would be taken into theatre. After the shot of ergometrine my bleeding slowed and I was put on a drip of syntocin. The smell had imediately gone from my loss. I had doctors checking on my loss every 30 minutes had to have three drips of syntocin throughout the night aswell as 3 drips of IV antibiotics to treat infection. The flollowing day I lost 4 large clots and my hemoglobin had dropped to below seven and I had to have three units of blood transufsed into me. The following day my hemaglobin had gone upto 10.2 but my platelets was half of the normal ammount. They allowed me home with iron tablets and two lots of antibiotics but I was referred to a hematologist. I visited the hemotologist today who had said my platelet count had gone back into the normal range and had dropped because of the massive blood loss & infection. Can I make a complaint against this due to the fact I was showing warning signs and nobody took notice? This whole experience has been awful

Mothers can be very difficult. I'm sorry about your situation. You have to try to love her because she is in fact your mother, and she did in fact provide for you. However, you do not have to live under her ridicule and psychological/emotional abuse anymore - it sounds to me like your grown up now - correct? I understand the living situation is sometimes impossible to deal with, but find something to do and ... this sounds awful, I know, but I have similar issues ... You have to keep emotional separation. You must learn to interact with your mother just like you would if she were say your best friend's mom or mother-in-law. You would take her insults gracefully and laugh it off later, right? You would also avoid unnecessary, lengthy conversations and absolutely no tea parties! (figure of speech) Be graceful for your own sanity and get out as soon as you can. Don't go back. It's not healthy. But you do have to keep good relations, again, for your own sanity. If you're any sort of a good person, you will feel guilty if you try to cut her out of your life ever so that is not an option. Just hang in there and remember "emotional separation."

Earlobe too thin with purple streak inside from stretching?

I will admit that I went too fast in gauging my ears. A year ago I started gauging every week until I got to a 0, and from then on I would gauge every 2 to 3 weeks until I got to 5/8. After a month I went to 3/4 and that was a huge stretch, I got it done at a piercing shop because I couldnt do it myself and the stretch went fine, but I stupidly changed to flared plugs after 4 days because the huge tapers were hurting my ears, and ended up battling with infected torn earloabes for about a month after that and took them off for more than a month to heal the infection. I started all over again after they were healed, but was so eager to get back to what I used to be that right away from the 2 g I had shrunk, I was able to go to 1/2 in without any pain at all. I would wait 2 weeks in between stretches, but these stretches were painless, and I thought it was because I had my ears previously gauged to a bigger size. I got to 7/8 without any problem a month later but decided to downsize to 3/4 because one of my ears started stretching closer to where my head connects to my ear and I know that was from the result of fast stretching so I went back to try and correct that. But my other ear is way too thin, it is really dry always and peeling, and has scar tissue at the back that curls inwards from having torn that earlobe the first time I went to that size a couple of months back. My question now is, is my blood flow being cut off from the thiness and that is what has caused this redish purple streak across the inside of my earlobe? What should I do? Would taking off the plugs to let it reheal for a month or so solve that problem and the blood flow in my ear should return? I am just worried my ear will tear apart on its own if the problem is the blood flow? I have no infections my ears dont puss or anything of that sort nor hurt. My ear had practically torn all the way in half the first time so the scar tissue that grew to cover that is what is so thin around the ear.

Random heavvvvy bleeding 6 days after late period ended!?

So here's some important details. I'm 20.....On Feb 16th I had a D&C (it was not for a miscarriage). At my follow up almost 2 weeks later, the dr told me he took a sample and it showed that my period should have came on Feb 22. I didn't end up getting it until Mar 11th. It lasted Mar 11-15. It was pretty normal. Today, I wake up saturated in blood! I go sit on the toilet and bleed like a faucet. It wasn't clotty, but bright red and hemorrhaging. For a few hours I was replacing a super tampon every 30-45 min! Then throughout the day it slowed down. It is now almost 1 AM and I'm bleeding lighter, but still bright red. I also have had a bad headache and cramps all day with weakness and dizziness. Also, I better add that my boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex almost every day since a week after my D&C. The term "blood thinner" is actually completely inaccurate, but was started to try & explain to the lay public a drug. I'm sure it must be, but it's something I don't have any experience with. I lost my left eye in March to a vitreous hemorrhage, and have been considering an eye patch for that eye. It sounds like there's issues with the placenta that are jeoparising this pregnancy, the baby's not thriving (the IUGR or intra uterine growth restriction shows that). Unfortunately, there is little that can be done during pregnancy, just hold your breath, hope and pray. If your wife can carry 4 more weeks, doctors will work to save your little one if s/he needs to be born early, but the longer she can carry, the better. The meds will hopefully help her carry longer or at least give the baby a better chance of survival if born very early. Hemorrhage and second pregnancy?

this question is to anyone who has hemorrhaged in delivery (or hours after). I did with my first pregnancy and I don't wish it on anyone. It was terrifying and the attempt to fix it was beyond painful (worse than actually delivery the baby by far). it messed me up a lot and gave me PTSS. I vowed I didn't ever want to risk it again but low and behold I'm preggers again and due soon. I'm terrified I'm going to die (1 in 400 000 in Canada do) and though I know the odds aren't particularly high I know the fear that will overcome me if I start to hemorrhage, and I don't wan to *think* I'm going to die either. I'm looking for people who did hemorrhage the first time and if they went on to have more pregnancies if they hemorrhaged the second time and if it was worse. I also want to know if they were worried too, going into the second delivery.

Why do I have slow healing wounds?

I am a really clumsy person and I just fall all the time and get cuts and scrapes everywhere. About 3 weeks ago I gashed open my toe on a nail that wasn't hammered in all the way. My doctor said that by now a new layer of skin should be growing over it but it's just like a gaping hole, it doesn't hurt or anything though. I've always had this problem my whole life. How do i get my dogs to stop killing animals?

I have had my one dog for about 3-4 years and the other for about 2. The first one is a German Shepard/Lab mix and her name is Julie(shes the family dog) and the other is a Pointer/Pitt bull mix and he is Hunter(hes my dog). Hunter's like my child, i have to defend him so much but i love my dog. i own fallout 3 and fallout 3 GOTY edition when i attempted to play mothership zeta it always froze on the GOTY version so i tried playing it on my original copy but then the GOTY edition quests went away along with a couple of my weapons. i quickly put back the GOTY edition in and restarted my ps3 when i loaded my data the mothership zeta,point lookout, operation anchorage, the pitt, were back but im not sure if broken steel is back even though i previously finished two of the broken steel quests and my weapons were gone along with a couple of broken steel quests i started such as "Protecting the waterway" and i can no longer start this quest because the person i need to talk to to start the quest is no longer at rivet city. does anyone know how i can regain what i have lost?

I have Nuchal rigidity without a fever but some other symptoms. What do I have?

I have a slight sore throat (like a 1 or 2 out of 10). My body is slightly achy with the exception of my neck and back of my head area (much more than slightly achy). My neck has been getting progressively stiff over 3 days now. It is more the right side of my neck. I can no longer touch my chin to my chest. I go through the day hunched and with my head tilted to my right shoulder. That is the most comfortable. It is not a sore muscle; I know what that feels like and I haven't been active before this started. My headaches are not all that painful. My neck pain is worse. Could it be that I have meningitis without the fever, nausea, sensitivity to light, excruciating headaches, etc? I don't think I have it, but the only problems that I have found to cause nuchal rigidity are meningitis and a subarachnoid hemorrhage. So can someone please help me.
